TEHRAN, Oct. 25 (Xinhua) -- The 42nd edition of the Tehran International Short Film Festival (TISFF) concluded here Friday with the announcement of winners in various categories.
The six-day festival displayed a wide variety of works from over 50 countries and regions around the world, including China, France, Italy, Japan, Russia and the United States.
The festival's International Competition section featured a global selection of over 90 works this year, ranging from AI-generated, animated, experimental and fiction films to documentaries, said a report on the festival's website.
Launched in 1983 and held annually in the Iranian capital in October, the short film festival is one of the oldest and most prestigious film events in the Middle East and North Africa region.
